Welcome to the October edition of Spruce York news…
This month you can hear about our wedding and the fantastic local Yorkshire & Midlands based suppliers we used for our big day.
Coming up we have new wedding fairs booked in starting on Sunday the 1st of October at Middleton’s Hotel in York, showcasing our new personalised wooden wedding products.
We will also be selling our Yorkshire made gifts and home-wares at new winter markets coming up shortly (see our events page for more details). We are looking forward to a 5 day market at Harewood House near Leeds in November with Little Bird Artisan Markets. We have some new products coming to our stalls and online, and would like to thank all our lovely customers who have taken the time to send us photos and leave us reviews, we love to hear your feedback.
Rebecca from Spruce York is now qualified – City & Guilds Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery, and has started City & Guilds Level 2 Site Carpentry back at college on an evenings to bring new skills back to our workshop.
Our wedding and Honeymoon…
We came back to work in the workshop in September after a busy summer away this year. Mr Spruce and i got married! We tied the knot and celebrated our wedding at the gorgeous Ripley Castle in North Yorkshire, followed by an amazing honeymoon where we were lucky enough to go travelling in Hawaii, visiting The Big Island (Hawaii), Maui, Kauai and O’hau. We would like to thank the incredible staff at All Saints Church, Ripley and Ripley Castle, along with the local suppliers we used for our wedding, we have listed them below if you are looking for services for your wedding have a look at their sites.

- Harrogate Valley Gard
ens was a great first market back on Sunday the 3rd of September, thank you to everyone who came out and supported us and the other local business stalls. The sun was glorious, we were next to the Barista and The Kandle Table who were really friendly and made our day fabulous, check out their pages! Here’s a photo of Bex on the stall!
- Middleton’s Hotel York Wedding Fair –
We are looking forward to having a table at The Middletons Wedding showcase event on Sunday the 1st of October, come along to meet lots of fabulous local wedding suppliers and receive a complimentary glass of prosecco whilst you browse!
All1Network – York
Spruce York have been out and about meeting other York based businesses this month
We visited the Principal Hotel in York with All1Network. The food was delicious and we had a
great member presentation about improving your business website and communications.
New Products
We are busy making new giant garden games which will be available to buy or hire for your events on our website soon.
Here are our new confetti cone trays which can be customised in different colours, and our personalised wedding signs.
We also have some new espresso cups and mini cactus pots on the way as requested by customers at our markets.
There will also be some new Christmas products and wooden dog related products.. watch this space.

Our products in action
Our veg plot signs are a great gift for garden lovers and are available as engraved slates on sticks or as bamboo personalised plant markers.
We made these bamboo sticks for a rose lover with her favorite rose names on, we loved receiving photos of the Arthur Bell rose in bloom.
Both products are available on our website and Etsy page.
